Nagios Pluginsとは、Nagiosが監視を行い、監視データを収集するために必要なプログラムのことだ。
このブログを書いている現在時点でのNagios Pluginsの最新版は1.4.13だ。
前回、インストールしたNagios（3.1.0）にインストールを行う。
サーバOSは、CentOS 5.3 である。
ダウンロード
今回必要なものは以下の通りだ。
●Nagios Plugins：nagios-plugins-1.4.13.tar.gz（本家Nagiosサイトのダウンロードページ）
ダウンロードしたtarballは、どこで解凍してもいいが、ここでは/usr/local/src に置くものとする。
インストールマニュアル
Nagios Pluginsのインストール自体は簡単なので、マニュアルは必要ないと思うが、前回紹介したNagiosのインストールマニュアルページに記述がある。
NagiosのWebインターフェースにも同じマニュアルがあり、サイドメニューから以下のように辿って行ける。

また、全ての作業は特に断りがない限りrootアカウントで行うものとする。
システム要求
特に記述はないが、configureの実行中に出力されたWARNINGは、プラグインのインストールに必要なソフトウェアがないことを意味している。
そのプラグインが必要なのであれば、インストールする必要がある。
configureの実行
tarballを解凍し、configureを実行する。
configureのオプションでは、Nagiosの実行ユーザ（nagios）とグループ（nagios）を指定する。

上記のconfigureの結果（WARNINGメッセージ）から、以下のソフトウェアが不足していることがわかる。
・PostgreSQL
・radius
・mysql client
・lmstat
・smbclient
・snmpget
・Net::SNMP perl module
・qstat
・fping
・qmail-qstat
必要ならインストールを行う。
不足しているソフトウェアのインストール
＜PostgreSQLの監視（check_pgsql）をする場合＞
# yum install postgresql postgresql-devel

コンパイルとインストール
configureの結果、問題がなければ、Nagios Pluginsのコンパイルとインストールを行う。
コンパイルが終了したら、インストールを行う。
これで、Nagios Pluginsのインストールは終了。
/usr/local/nagios/libexec にインストールされている。
監視プラグインは、他にもたくさんある。
